On August 28th 2019, Entity Solutions received confirmation of the successful renewal of our On Hire Labour Agreement (OHLA) with the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) – for the seventh year straight! A hallmark of our migration service offering since 2012, it means that we can continue to provide sponsorship of skilled overseas workers on behalf of Australian organisations, for all eligible skilled occupations on the combined Medium-Long Term Skilled Occupation (MLTSSL) & Short-term Skilled Occupation (STSOL) lists. What is an On Hire Labour Agreement?

Hiring an overseas worker in Australia normally requires the employing organisation to hold a Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS). There are numerous requirements and statutory obligations tied to obtaining said sponsorship and it may not be viable or desirable for some businesses. Instead, the On Hire Labour Agreement allows an organisation to bypass the SBS (essentially deferring it to another party) and still gain access to the 482 Visa program.
